The community of people affected by HIV/AIDS is remarkably diverse. NAP is committed to honoring this diversity, promoting inclusion, and offering resources that are linguistically and culturally appropriate to our clients.
Communities of Color, Latino Outreach & Bilingual Testing
Nebraska AIDS Project is focused on eliminating the HIV and STD disparities that the African American community currently faces. The agency provides HIV/STD workshops and presentations, targeted HIV testing and counseling, community awareness and street outreach.
Nebraska AIDS Project also offers culturally competent, bilingual HIV education and testing to Omaha’s Latino community in partnership with UNMC’s RESPECT Clinic, Latina Resource Center, One World Community Health Clinics, NAF Multicultural Human Development Corporation and the South Omaha Community Care Council. Nebraska AIDS Project maintains a strong commitment to Omaha’s Spanish-speaking community, while offering 25 years of experience in the HIV prevention field.
